Technology / Teslian Tech

Technology selected for the product, not the pitch.

We decide the architecture first — from ownership, change rate, failure boundaries and operating reality — and let the stack follow. That is why the same team will recommend different tools for two projects that look superficially alike.

Decision inputs / 01

Four questions before any tool is named.

If these cannot be answered, choosing a framework is guesswork wearing a confident face.

01

Ownership

Who maintains this in two years? A stack nobody on the team can support is a liability regardless of benchmarks.

02

Change rate

Parts of a system that change weekly need different boundaries from parts that change yearly.

03

Failure boundaries

What happens when this component is down? The answer shapes whether it is a module, a service or a queue.

04

Operating reality

Connectivity, device constraints, staff turnover and support hours are architecture inputs, not afterthoughts.

The stack / 02

What we work with, and why.

Listed by the layer it serves. Naming a technology here means we have shipped and supported it, not that we have read about it.

Product interface

What the user touches. Chosen for accessibility, performance and how long the team can maintain it.

ReactVueBladeTypeScriptDesign systems

Mobile

Cross-platform where the product allows it, native where the device genuinely matters.

FlutterReact NativeSwift / iOSKotlin / Android

Backend and APIs

Where business rules live. Chosen for team familiarity, operational tooling and long-term support.

LaravelNode.js.NETSpring BootCodeIgniterREST and event APIs

Data

Relational by default. Anything else has to earn its place with a real access pattern.

MySQLPostgreSQLRedisData pipelinesReporting models

Infrastructure

Reproducible environments, boring deployments and a recovery path that has been tested.

DockerKubernetesCI/CDCloud platformsMonitoring and backups

Interactive and AI

Used where it improves comprehension or removes real work — never for decoration.

A caution

A stack is not a strategy.

Plenty of rewrites fail with a perfectly modern stack because the architecture never addressed the actual constraint — a reporting query, a batch window, an integration that only runs at night.

So we start with what breaks today, model the boundaries around it, and choose tools that make those boundaries cheap to maintain. Sometimes the honest recommendation is to keep the existing system and fix three things inside it.
